The role is responsible for providing a high level of technical support to Squiz offices and employees. You will also have the opportunity to work with our sys-admin team as they install and manage our client servers (primarily Linux).

You will have primary responsibility for:

• Maintaining support of staff PCs and Macs
• Providing internal technical support to new and current employees
• Managing employee accounts and software requirements
• Managing back up tapes off-site.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, tech-savvy person who has:

• A good knowledge of Windows and some experience/knowledge of Linux or Unix;
• Some knowledge of networking;
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills - and a strong customer focus;
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to report on problems, trends and solutions;
• A proactive roll-up-your-sleeves approach to problem-solving and the ability to work unsupervised;

NB: It would also be an advantage if you have some programming knowledge.
