Senior System Administrator

This is your opportunity to lead the Squiz System Administration team. The role is suitable for someone who likes the challenge of representing and working alongside a team of talented people; someone who is confident in a wide range of technical areas, and an expert when it comes to all things Linux...

You will be investigating new technologies, forging the path ahead for the Sys Admin team to work with and support new Squiz software developments, trouble shooting some tricky technical issues, and engineering new solutions for Squiz and for a broad range of clients.

You'll work with a great team of System Administrators, all with particular specialties (and senses of humour).

We’d like our new team member to have a holistic perspective of System Administration and the ability to assist your team members to develop their own technical expertise.

We are looking for someone with a wide range of experience.

Have any of your past projects and roles included technologies like......

  • Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, Solaris, Oracle, Postgres, Mysql, PHP, iptables, bash, perl, python....
  • RPM & deb packaging, IP networking, slony, pgpool, squid 2.4/2.6, apache, lighttpd...
  • Postfix, qmail, courier, mailman, NFS, GFS, XEN, VMWare...

Salary package is negotiable, and will be based of your experience, skills, and fit with the Squiz team.
