An exciting opportunity has now arisen at our Leichhardt office for an enthusiastic individual to provide us with expert legal advice and services.
As Legal Counsel at Squiz you will have the opportunity to create your dream role! – Imagine this:
- In a stand alone role manage, draft, review and negotiate client contracts, licences and manage other intellectual property
- Work closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management to provide legal advice and ensure legal compliance within the company
- Participate in the formation and implementation of all legal documentation new policy and agreements.
- Build and maintain appropriate and proactive professional relationships with industry groups, regulators government officials and/or departments on matters affecting the business

To be a perfect fit for this role you will need the following skills/attributes:
- Degree in Law/IT/Computer Science
- Sound legal research and statutory interpretation skills
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation
- Excellent understanding of commercial and intellectual property law
- Some understanding of Open Source software and related issues would be highly regarded
- The ability to balance and maintain client service with a commercial focus
- You will have great communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Min 1-3 years PQE preferred however exceptional recent graduates may be considered
