We live in a world where there is a heavy reliance on digital. With the adoption of technology, the need to improve the accessibility of government and public sector services has become even more prominent. Government agencies have become focused on inclusion for some time, however, like other transformation programs COVID-19 has further accelerated this initiative.
In this session, RaeJean Pearce, Global Head of Government, will take us through the inclusivity principles she has learned through the length and breadth of her experience with the public sector and her work at Squiz. RaeJean will cover:
- How Squiz helped customers develop the right digital services strategies: How to balance investments, how to enable more self-serve behavior and provide support, and how to determine what services should or shouldn’t be digital.
- How to provide government agencies and departments with fast and efficient processes to create accessible digital channels, consistent with their needs.
- Gain insight into customer needs and behaviors to create relevant and streamlined digital services.
- How to create online tools with the right stakeholders to further the commitment to improving accessibility for websites, taking the example of the Online Accessibility Toolkit that Squiz developed in partnership with the SA Government.
