How LGA of SA is successfully transforming the citizen experience through effective collaboration

Everyone agrees collaboration is a good idea…. but it’s often considered difficult to achieve.

Over 59 (and counting) of the 97 total councils across South Australia and Tasmania have joined forces with the Local Government Association of South Australia and their platform provider Squiz, to successfully transform to a citizen-centric digital local government.

Find out how the visions of diverse communities and councils of different sizes and means, are coming together to enhance community engagement and improve digital services.

LGASA Manager Web Solutions John Mundy will talk us through their journey so far and show how they have overcome challenges of collaboration, and share some of their remarkable wins achieved in a reduced amount of time. In this session, you'll:

  • Learn the basic ingredients of a successful multi-council collaboration
  • Hear how a common collaboration vision was achieved - and how it is maintained
  • Learn how a workable balance was achieved between upfront requirements definition and agility
  • Learn how getting the foundations right has set participating councils up for future innovation.
