    JP is a digital pioneer who helps enterprise-level organisations to thrive in a digital world. JP is constantly inspired by the potential the internet has to transform the way people communicate, which is what led him to co-found Squiz 20 years ago. Over this time JP has grown Squiz to employ over 500 employees in 13 offices across three continents.

    Prior to founding Squiz, JP was the general manager of Cybersydney where he met fellow Squiz co-founder Stephen Barker. The Australasian Neuroscience Society awarded JP the Istvan Tork award in neuroscience in 1999 and he is also a National Finalist in 2018’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

    Chief Product Officer

    Matt is a transformational leader who works with technology teams to build innovative digital platforms. After more than twenty years leading software product strategy and development, Matt understands how to blend customer-first thinking with a culture of execution to create breakthrough products and services.

    Matt's career has spanned from startup co-founder to international head of product roles to innovation consulting. He now leads the product development efforts for all Squiz digital platforms. Matt has led teams all over the globe to launch products in a variety of markets including content management, digital communications, business process management and banking. Matt strongly believes that successful products result from enabling great team culture and is a strong advocate for lean and agile practices.

    Bart is an experienced product manager and technical consultant who builds industry-leading software solutions that focus on delivering exceptional user experiences. Bart is extremely passionate about the power of the web and strives to push the boundaries of what is possible in digital. For over 10 years, Bart has shaped Squiz’s core product, Squiz Matrix, led by his strong team based work ethic and constant hunger for innovation.

    Head of Solution Architecture

    Chris is a solution architect who aligns product capabilities with the real world value Squiz delivers for clients. Chris previously worked in the Brisbane production team delivering client projects including the Griffith Student Portal. Chris holds degrees in Information Technology and Communication Design from Queensland University of Technology.

    Head of Consulting

    Grace is a strategic designer who helps organisations to innovate and build new digital capabilities. Grace is an enthusiastic storyteller who enjoys bringing together business, customer and technology needs into a coherent digital narrative. With over 10 years experience delivering human centred solutions for large, medium and startup businesses, Grace lead’s multidisciplinary teams to build digital services and products, and works closely with clients to build digital strategies, roadmaps and customer centric processes.

    Customer Insights Manager

    Julie is an experienced digital marketer who is focused on continually building an understanding of the customer and their needs. Julie works to communicate value, establish trust and build brand advocates, all while contributing ROI to the organisation.

    Julie is passionate about challenging perceptions and driving innovation. Julie develops digital marketing strategies that increase lead generation and conversion, improve customer retention, align sales and marketing, and increase operational efficiencies - using the customer lifecycle as the foundation.

    Daniel Murphy

    Marketing Automation Consultant

    Daniel Murphy is a digital marketing and communications expert, who has extensive experience in building data-driven and customer-centric marketing automation solutions to increase user engagement. Daniel has a deep understanding of personalisation and engagement strategies and tools to help organisation’s leverage their marketing automation platforms and achieve their goals.

    Before joining Squiz, Daniel led the University of Canberra’s marketing automation activities. During this time, the campaigns saw an increase in attributable enrolments of 111%. For his work, Daniel has been awarded two Vice-Chancellor’s Awards from the University of Canberra.

    Brett Matson

    Managing Director, Funnelback

    Brett is a digital leader in enterprise search solutions, founding Funnelback in 2005. Since then, Brett and his team have delivered many search solutions for government, higher education and private sector organisations globally. Brett's career started at CSIRO as a developer of search engine technology and contributor to research on document-level security. Since then, he's developed Funnelback's patented Contextual Navigation system and led Funnelback's growth as Managing Director. More recently, his interests have included knowledge graphs and natural language question answering.

    Jim is an experienced product development professional and business analyst with a background that spans banking, finance and technology industries. As the Product Manager for Squiz Workplace, Jim develops deep insights into the challenges facing organisational collaboration, large and small.

    Jim is passionate about helping young leaders to find their calling in the workplace and challenging them to make a difference. Through his career, Jim has been a mentor to young leaders, delivered multi-million dollar projects and managed multi-billion dollar products.
